The "Soldier" Album

by Raquelle Gracie

From singing in nightclubs with Jamie Foxx and Jessie J when she was 18, Raquelle went on to place 5th in the X-Factor 2007 in girlband Hope. They performed in notable venues nationwide on the X-Factor tour and went on to be signed by Warner Chappell. They supported Boyzone, Westlife, Sugababes, Shane Ward on various tours. When Hope disbanded, Raquelle moved to the States following the advice of friend and co-writer Pharrell Williams (“I Apologise For Being Hot”) where she spent time working with him in Miami and went on to be signed by Babyface who produced “I Forgive You ”in Los Angeles. She worked with notable writers/producers such as Ali Tamposi, R City, DJ Snake, The Fanatics, Tearce Kizzo, Francci Richard. Upon her return to the UK she continued to song write and had songs released with Ghetts, Tre Jean-Marie, Fred Cox, J2K, Lucan Mills, Richard Vission and many more. A brief sabbatical from the music industry and two children later, Raquelle is back in the game and ready to accomplish the independent artistry that she always felt was her driving force. The EP “Soldier” has ironically captivated her life to a tee even after it had been written and the words, sentiment and melody resonate deeply with her. She aims to inspire people to keep striving for their dreams and never be afraid to follow them with an open heart.
